These locking pin backs are as secure as they come. They’re actually a little bit sore to take off, if I’m honest. These lock into place securely and while yes, they’re a little bit bulkier than the standard backings, they are considerably more secure.
These can be tricky to remove, if you don’t know the mechanism. The pin looks like a top-hat, essentially. The widest point is fixed, however the narrow end can be pushed out. Pushing this up and away will release the locking mechanism. Confused? See the last photo on this page for an example.
