This pin is based on an artwork by Piet Mondrian, Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow from 1930. Instead of the red, yellow and blue that were a strict component of De Stijl art, this pin has green, white and orange.
Why? The tricolour has been co-opted by a load of gobshites lately. The Irish flag shouldn’t be exclusive to the dog-kicking, gold-bar hiding, too large-hat-wearing gobshites. So, this pin is a way to get the Irish colours onto people who usually shy away from them.
I also like that this is essentially, a ‘Neoplastic Paddy’ pin.
Black Nickel plating
Soft enamel
27mm tall
Deadly.ie embossing on back
Green and orange (kinda peachy orange) rubber clutches included
Colours used:
Green: 348 c
White: White c
Orange: 1495 c
