Irish Secret Santa gifts ideas

The Secret Santa and Kris Kindle season is upon us! So, if you’re looking for a cheap gift for a co-worker, a last minute stocking filler for a family member or a thoughtful (but inexpensive) Irish addition to your partner's main gift, you’re in the right place. Below, we’ve categorised the gifts based on price, so whatever your budget for Christmas is, we’re sure to have something extra special for you.

secret santa Gifts Under €10

These gifts cost less than two pints (with shipping included!) and they’ll last considerably longer. Some of these are reduced to clear, others are best-sellers which have had their prices reduced and others are just on offer, because, well, I’m so sound. So, if you need to fill a stocking and make it look like you’ve spent more that you have, these are well worth a look!

secret santa Gifts under €20

If you’ve got those awkwardly-priced work Kris Kindles, these options are great shouts. You’re supporting an Irish business and getting some proper great goods as part of the deal. All these options will come in considerably under €20, so if you play your cards right, you might be able to throw in a few extra bits like their favourite bar of chocolate, too!

a Tote Bag

First, up the famous Simpson/Book of Kells tote bag. This one went slightly viral on TikTok during the year, resulting in the whole batch selling out in about 4 hours. They’ve been restocked for Christmas, so if you know of someone that wants a perfectly cromulent bag for Christmas, look no further!

socks

We all get socks for Christmas. It’s like a tradition that we all participate in without thinking about it. Why not get some decent socks for your loved one / co-worker-that-you-can-just-about-tolerate this year?

We’ve three options available:

A Premium Pin

All my pins are great in their own way, but these are premium. Sure one of them bleedin’ spins, like! Whether you’re looking for something playful, historical or just gorgeous looking, these premium pins are an excellent option.

Most of them hover around the €10 mark, but with shipping (€3.50 in most instances), they’re closer to €15. They all come with a free Deadly sticker and unbelievably beautiful packaging.

Scarves! I don’t have much else for the big spenders! So get them a scarf - they’re only bleedin’ massif!

Coming soon!

These come in with shipping around the €35-€36 mark. That leaves a few bob for fancy wrapping paper, or, you could buy some more pins. (I’d recommend the pins. Excellent stuff, altogether)

Christmas-SPECIFIC GIFTS

If you’re looking for a gift that says, “CHRISTMAS!” in no uncertain terms, these gifts are ideal. They’re more festive than the weirdo in the office with the mistletoe gaffa-taped to his forehead.

I left it too late!

Alright, alright - listen. IF you’re one of those people who’s buying a present on December 24th at 6.01pm, yeah, you did leave it too late - but I might have a solution for you. Listen, Christmas is a mad time for shopping. Going into town or a shopping centre is a great way to stress yourself out, online shopping can be suss if you don’t know who to trust and we all know a postman who’s at his or her wits’ end during the height of the season.

So, if you want to leave it a little later than usual, or if you’re just a forgetful dope - just drop a line in your order saying ‘LATE SILLY ORDER’ and I’ll throw a note in with your order saying something to the effect of:

‘Dear [your pals name],

Seán here from
deadly.ie. Just like the protagonist in a Christmas Episode of your favorite TV comedy, you didn’t get your gift on time. To prevent this becoming the origin story of your ‘bad-guy’ arc, please accept my apology, your gift and some amazing stickers!

Yours apologetically (but unapologetically festive),

Seán

Now, they don’t know that everyone gets stickers, so that’ll be our little secret - but it gets you out of a festive-hole and it also reduces the strain on your already overworked postie.

The Best Secret Santa Generators

If you’ve put the horse before the cart and decided to get whoever you get a deadly.ie gift for their Kris Kindle present, you might need a generator to assign the givers and receivers of the presents. These are the best options for you:

  • Drawnames.ie: This is the one that our family use. It’s fairly simple - providing you get the details right when you’re putting them in initially!

  • Elsfter: This is one of the most popular ones online

  • My Wish List This one is a little different; users can add a ‘wish list’ with things that they want. Perfect if you’ve a few in your group who are tragically bad gift-givers

More Irish Stores to support this Christmas

If you’re looking for something other than the best bleedin’ pins on the planet, you can check out the shops below. They’re all run by the absolutely soundest people on the planet

Aoife Cawley Art

Purveyor of bleedin’ brilliant scarves, prints and more, Aoife also has an incredible social media profile. Like, her stories are filled with trips to incredible galleries, castles and islands. Buy her gear coz it’s great.

dESIGNWRIGHT

Megan is another sounder. She has crackin’ designs, you’ll probably find her at a local market and her dog is gorgeous too. Highly recommended.

Weird Watercolours

If you’ve been on any social media site ever, you’re probably familiar with this pair of talented messers. The originator of the Jesus Christ, What a Year Calendar, they’ve a whole range of good goodies that’d make an excellent gift this year.

Worn x Bred

Okay, I worked with Richie in a previous job, so I’m slightly biased here. HOWEVER, he is the soundest, most talented man I know. He hand makes everything you see on his site, he has an incredible eye for the cool edge of culture and his stuff is incredible quality. I’ve three pieces of his and I get complemented on them all the time.
